Predatory tow operators exploit accident scenes through coordinated schemes involving body shops, storage facilities, and insider participation, driving significant costs for insurers and consumers. This panel features distinguished investigators with deep field experience spanning both Law Enforcement and the insurance industry, offering a rare cross‑jurisdictional perspective on how these schemes are conceived and operate across regional corridors. The discussion will highlight effective investigative tools, techniques, and collaborative frameworks among insurance carriers, the NICB, and prosecutorial agencies. Attendees will gain insight into key red flags of towing fraud and actionable strategies to identify and disrupt one of the industry’s most persistent and costly threats.
