New York Anti Car Theft & Fraud Association (NYACT), the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Saratoga Sheriff's Department will be hosting a three-day training session on April 10-12, 2024. The class is being taught by Retired NYPD Detective Thomas Burke and other certified Police Instructors. All attendees will receive college credits and documentation of attendance. The course is a comprehensive overview of the Auto Theft trends and techniques being utilized by modern car thefts and addresses many of the insurance fraud issues as well.

Additional Instructors include:

• Tom Foster, AAMVA LE Manager: A 90-minute session on LEAT the tool for LE to access NMVTIS.
• Supervising Investigator Marshall Cox, NYS DMV: Sessions on fraudulent documents and other DMV topics.
• Special Agent Michael Occhicone, NICB: NICB Resources

The class is limited to 70 students and registration will be closed after we reach that limit. Attendees must attend all three days.
